A Confession

A Confession: art display for DISO DAYS

Throughout the duration of DISO DAYS, we will be collecting anonymous thoughts and opinions from the KPU community and displaying them for all to read.

This introspective project reappropriates religious rites for secular environments and examines how public spaces can cultivate self-realization and communal kinship. It reveals how quickly people expose their struggles and vulnerability when given the right conditions. Candy Chang, the creator of this project believes our personal anxieties extend into our public life and many of the conflicts in our communities com from a lack of trust and understanding. This personal anonymous space offered a gentle first step towards honesty and vulnerability in public, which can lead to trust and understanding. These are essential elements for more compassionate society which can not only help us create better places together but can also help us become our best selves.
