[] Voters Taking Action on Climate Change a group that creates opportunities for people to demand that governments take action on climate change.

[] Muslim Food Bank and Aspire Muslim Food Bank and Community Services started in 2010 and has two main divisions through which the programs are administered; Food Bank and the ASPIRE Community Services.

[] Genesis Family Empowerment Society  Render high quality counselling services especially in areas of trauma and grief to individualized families (especially refugees) as a family unit ‘tailored’ to suit the clients’ needs in the context of their cultural diversity

[] No One is Illegal No One is Illegal-Vancouver Coast Salish Territories is a grassroots anti-colonial migrant justice group with leadership from members of migrant and/or racialized backgrounds.

[] The Unist’ot’en Camp The Unist’ot’en Camp is a resistance community whose purpose is to protect sovereign Wet’suwet’en territory from several proposed pipelines from the Tar Sands Gigaproject and shale gas from Hydraulic Fracturing Projects in the Peace River Region.

[] Surrey/White Rock Food Action Coalition The Food Action Coalition is a coalition of agencies and concerned citizens that began by working on the “Moving Food Policy Forward in Surrey and White Rock” project.

[] Rising the Tide North America Rising Tide has worked to create a network that prioritizes local grassroots organizing yet remains firmly engaged in international social movements; which promotes solidarity and collaboration with impacted communities and local social justice struggles; which challenges corporate-friendly “solutions” to climate change.

[] Living Wage for Families Campaign Surrey More and more British Columbians are working in low-wage jobs that do not pay enough to live on – lets change that.

[] The Lax U’u’la (Lelu Island) Camp The people of Lax’walams spoke very clearly in their rejection of the 1.25 billion dollar offer from Petronas, and this camp builds upon that rejection. This issue is not just a First Nations issue but one that will affect all British Columbians.

[] Skeena Watershed Conservation Coalition Cultivating a sustainable future from a sustainable environment rooted in our culture and thriving wild salmon ecosystem.

[] Tsleil-Waututh Sacred Trust The Sacred Trust is an initiative of the Tsleil-Waututh Nation. The Sacred Trust is mandated to oppose and stop the Kinder Morgan Trans Mountain pipeline project.

[] Peoples Climate Convergence The Global Climate Convergence is an education and direct action campaign on behalf of People, Planet and Peace over Profit. It provides coordinated action and collaboration across fronts of struggle and national borders to harness the transformative power we already possess as a thousand separate movements.

[] Global Peace Alliance World of lasting peace –trusting on the power of reason, justice, democracy, economic equity and environmental integrity – where humans celebrate their diversity, respect their common values, and resolve their inevitable conflicts by non-violent means.

[] Students Against Migrant Exploitation (S.A.M.E.) Primarily focussing on the exploitation of migrant workers while in Canada, S.A.M.E uses various mediums to convey its message through its chapters, campaigns and projects.

[] KDOCS Film Festival to engage KPU’s various and varied communities, through documentary screenings and community dialogue, in critical thinking and understanding about ourselves, our communities, and our world.

[] Radical Desi a radical south-Asian group based out of Vancouver; release magazines every month.

[] Raise the Rates a coalition of community groups and organizations concerned with the level ofpoverty and homelessness in British Columbia.

[] Grassroots Women  was born out of the desire to address the systemic, political, and economic marginalization of working class women caused by imperialism.  They have been active since 1995.

[] Coalition of Childcare Advocates of BC A voluntary organization of interested citizens – parents, child care providers, community organizations, and unions.

[] Stand in Solidarity with the people opposing Kinder Morgan on Burnaby Mountain and support protecting the mountain from geotechnical survey work.

[] Support the Divestment from Fossil Fuels at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, the Kwantlen Student Association, and the Kwantlen Faculty Association.

[] Endorse the Community Plan for a Public System of Integrated Early Care and Learning Proposed by the Coalition of Child Care Advocated of BC and Early Childhood Educators of BC.

[] Endorse the BC Poverty Reduction Coalition‘s call on the Government of British Columbia to launch a comprehensive and accountable poverty reduction plan with legislated targets and timelines aimed at dramatically reducing homelessness and poverty in our province.

[] Endorse the Fight for $15 Campaign to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour, which would bring workers’ wages above the poverty line. It will also benefit local businesses and support the local economy by putting money in workers’ pockets to spend in their community.

[] Endorse the Surrey Poverty Reduction Coalition, dedicated to over 71,000 individuals in our City who face the daily challenge of living on limited incomes.

[] Endorse  Rising Up Against Unjust Recruitment is a campaign that seeks to advance the rights of migrant workers in our province. As a coalition of concerned groups and individuals in British Columbia, we are acutely aware that Temporary Foreign Workers are routinely charged unlawful, exorbitant fees for jobs in this province and are coerced into working for lower wages than promised and under conditions below minimum labour standards set by the Employment Standards Act.

[] Endorse Raise the Rates, a coalition that calls on the government to do the following: increase income assistance to the Market Basket Measure – about $1,500 a month for single person on regular welfare Remove the arbitrary barriers to receiving welfare.

[] Endorse BC Poverty Reduction CoalitionBC is the only province left without a poverty reduction plan. All other provinces in Canada either have had poverty reduction plans or are in the process of adopting them, and many are already seeing success.

[] Endorse Iron and Earth, an initiative led by oilsands workers committed to building Canada’s energy future.
